Responsibilities
- Develop and simulate baseband/RF waveforms, modulation schemes, and digital filters.
- Translate algorithms into optimized real-time C/C++ or VHDL/Verilog for embedded systems, FPGAs, and SDRs.
- Integrate DSP logic with RF systems, DACs, ADCs, embedded hardware, and other subsystems.
- Analyze signal integrity and spectral behavior and develop automated test frameworks to validate algorithm performance.
- Profile and optimize software for memory usage, power consumption, and processing speed.
- Design, develop, analyze, document, test, debug, and support software products, systems, and subsystems.
- Lead product-line architecture and provide guidance across multiple development teams to ensure interoperability.
- Lead major problem-resolution efforts and complete complex technical projects independently.
- Review customer requirements, develop cost-conscious designs, and support design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture objectives.
- Develop prototypes to retire development risks and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
- Provide technical leadership for proposals, new-business capture, customer meetings, and technology presentations.
- Mentor and coach less-experienced engineers and provide technical expertise to engineering and support personnel.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, customers, technical management, and other professionals.
- Provide budget, cost, and schedule input and document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 10 or more years of related experience is preferred.
- Mastery of relevant technologies and domain knowledge, with significant experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
- High proficiency in C/C++ and prototyping tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or Python.
- Understanding of Fourier transforms, FIR/IIR filtering, sampling theory, and modulation formats.
- Experience with embedded processors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, or CUDA for parallel processing.
- Ability to lead major problem-resolution efforts, support customer relationships, and work independently on complex technical projects.
- Ability to mentor and coach engineers and communicate clearly with technical, manufacturing, supply-chain, program-management, and customer stakeholders.
