Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code.
- Support existing systems and develop new geophysical-oriented desktop and web software.
- Maintain code quality and improve application usability.
- Analyze performance, stability, and algorithmic issues and recommend solutions.
- Understand customer workflows and suggest pragmatic solutions.
- Debug existing software and fix reported problems.
- Participate actively in the Agile development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or physics, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience developing in C++; C++17 experience is advantageous.
- Experience with Windows and Linux.
- Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with multithreading.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Geoscience or mathematical education is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-learning ability, responsibility, reliability, and good communication skills.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams is a plus.
