Base Salary
$200k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive and build the release and configuration layer of the platform.
- Design and implement scalable release workflows and tooling.
- Collaborate closely with CI and infrastructure owners.
- Build systems for release orchestration and environment-aware deployments.
- Develop self-service tooling for safe and reliable deployment patterns.
- Identify systemic issues in release management and implement solutions.
- Embed automated validation and rollback mechanisms into release workflows.
- Design environment and configuration management systems.
- Continuously improve release reliability and developer experience.
- Build observability into the release lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building platform systems or developer-facing tooling.
- Strong software engineering skills, particularly in TypeScript.
- Experience leading or contributing to shared engineering platforms.
- Deep familiarity with CI/CD systems and their programmatic extensions.
- Strong understanding of containerized systems like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building systems on AWS in production-scale contexts.
- Understanding of release systems and deployment safety.
- Proven ability to identify and solve systemic problems.
- Experience working across platform domains like CI and infrastructure.
- A focus on improving developer experience through automation.
