Base Salary
$124k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain front-end surfaces for the Workday Developer Portal within established micro-frontend boundaries and shared component patterns.
- Contribute to developer tooling and build infrastructure, including local development environments, CI/CD pipelines, linting, and testing setups.
- Implement features and fixes based on technical direction from senior and principal engineers, gaining increasing autonomy over implementation details.
- Work with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver well-scoped engineering work.
- Apply API governance, versioning, backward compatibility, and security standards to public-facing surfaces.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and pairing sessions.
- Improve developer-facing documentation, onboarding flows, and platform adoption tooling.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, including ownership of production web application features or components.
- At least 4 years of experience building front-end applications with modern web technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
- At least 4 years of client-side experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, including authentication, error handling, and data fetching patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure and basic logging and monitoring practices.
- Exposure to micro-frontend architectures, shared component libraries, or design systems.
- Familiarity with build tooling such as Webpack, Vite, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of REST, GraphQL, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC concepts.
- Ability to execute well-scoped technical work independently and collaborate effectively across product, engineering, and design teams.
- Advantageous qualifications include exposure to agentic AI, LLM-backed services, agent frameworks, MCP, developer portals, API catalogs, self-serve onboarding, multi-product or multi-tenant SaaS, enterprise workforce-management domains, developer relations, or technical writing.
