Responsibilities
- Improve cloud deployment tooling for shared internal applications.
- Automate integrations between internal and external systems.
- Create Grafana dashboards and alerts for internal-system visibility.
- Build standardized Python data-project templates for deployment, monitoring, and dependency management.
- Document quality processes for consistent use by non-software developers.
- Migrate cluster infrastructure to current versions of Rocky Linux and Warewulf.
- Build storage tooling to improve recovery and performance.
- Analyze and optimize cloud costs for internal job pipelines.
- Create dashboards showing cluster usage.
- Build tools that help teams understand and optimize shared compute resources.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in at least a bachelor’s degree program and entering the junior or senior year of study.
- Have prior internship experience or significant experience of more than one year on a project team, in a laboratory, or in research.
- A GPA of 3.5 or above is preferred.
- Leadership experience in a university club or organization is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, technical communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, initiative, and adaptability skills are preferred.
Benefits

- Based onsite five days per week at the Torrance, California headquarters; remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.
