Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance, fault-tolerant backend services and APIs.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for backend architecture and technology decisions.
- Implement authentication, authorization, SSO, centralized entitlements, and cyber defense controls.
- Optimize systems through caching, asynchronous processing, and efficient data access patterns.
- Architect integrations with Content Provider applications through HTTPS-based interfaces.
- Mentor senior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote software engineering best practices.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues.
- Collaborate with product management, frontend, architecture, and infrastructure teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Assess and manage technology and business risks while maintaining compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of backend software development experience, including significant experience architecting and leading complex, large-scale enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated experience as a Principal or Lead Developer with hands-on technical leadership.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and associated backend frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and RESTful API design.
- Experience with IAM solutions, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SSO, and fine-grained authorization.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development on GCP and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Unix, Oracle, caching solutions, and AI adoption.
- Frontend integration experience with ReactJS, Content Security Policy, corporate design systems, or ADA compliance is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills.

- Primary location salary range is $120,800.00–$170,800.00.
