
Early Career Software Test Developer - Propulsion Thermal Management

Responsibilities
- Translate propulsion thermal-management requirements and behavioral specifications into traceable system test cases, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated System Behavior Tests and functional system tests across CoSim/SIL, HIL benches, and vehicles.
- Validate battery, propulsion, cabin, diagnostic, sensor, actuator, and degraded-mode thermal-management behavior.
- Check CoSim package health, interfaces, configurations, virtual ECU behavior, plant-model connectivity, hardware I/O, and environment readiness.
- Analyze regression results, isolate root causes, document failures, track defects, and verify corrective actions through retesting.
- Collaborate with system, software quality, integration, calibration, and validation teams on test scope, requirements, and milestone readiness.
- Maintain test scripts, procedures, data, dashboards, and documentation while contributing reusable test patterns and testability feedback.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Preferred: knowledge of vehicle thermal-management systems, refrigeration, HVAC, heat pumps, and associated controls.
- Preferred: experience with Robot Framework, Autobot, C, C++, Python, BDD, Gherkin, ETAS INCA, Intrepid Vehicle Spy, MATLAB, Simulink, GT-Power, Amesim, CarSim, CAN, LIN, SPI, automotive Ethernet, virtualization, software integration, or virtual ECU environments.
- Preferred: familiarity with Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Azure Cloud, databases, data-processing frameworks, and AI/ML-based solutions.
