Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop features for Python-based test automation tools such as Checkbox.
- Invent methods for remote, automated testing.
- Build software supporting in-house testing hardware and device enablement, including graphics, hotplug, and Bluetooth testing.
- Write functional and performance tests to support hardware enablement and prevent regressions.
- Participate in meetings involving international travel two to three times per year.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Python programming language.
- A quality-oriented and pragmatic approach to software design and implementation.
- Interest in test automation methodologies.
- Previous experience working with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions.
- Ability to be productive in a globally distributed team.
- Passion for tinkering and making.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Hardware testing experience, such as in the IoT space.
- Familiarity with the C programming language.
