Base Salary
$202k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver complex software projects.
- Build highly reliable and resilient features in Uber’s iOS Mobile SDK.
- Collaborate with cross-functional mobile developer teams to enable and support the business.
- Identify and fix bugs and improve the reliability of current systems.
- Develop or contribute to mobile platform tooling, feature rollout, validation, and rollback capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or five years of full-time software engineering experience.
- Three years of total specialized software engineering experience in iOS development, Swift programming, or Objective-C programming, which may be gained through education, work experience, training, coursework, research, or a combination.
- Preferred experience working on mobile platform engineering teams rather than product engineering teams.
- Preferred deep iOS SDK/framework development experience, including architecting and optimizing complex mobile libraries, low-level performance, caching, and storage behavior.
- Preferred experience building developer utilities, CI/CD pipelines, or automation for feature rollout, validation, and auto-rollback.
- Preferred experience or interest in feature flags, A/B testing, and rollout control.
Benefits
- Base salary range for San Francisco-based roles is USD $202,000-$224,000 per year.
- Eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program and may be offered equity and other compensation.
- Eligible for a 401(k) plan and various benefits.
