Platform Engineer (Data Platform / DevOps)

- Deploy and maintain Databricks workspaces and cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, environment refreshes, new flow setup, data replication, and file-based ingestion.
- Monitor and support enterprise job scheduling and orchestration, including dependencies, recovery, and long-running workloads.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines and reusable deployment templates for data and platform projects.
- Support release management, secrets management, environment promotion, and the Change Request deployment lifecycle.
- Configure monitoring, alerting, and logging; provide first-line incident support and escalate complex issues.
- Automate recurring operational tasks and support compliance reporting and year-end activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 4 years of industry experience in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
- Hands-on experience authoring CI/CD pipelines, managing releases, and handling secrets, preferably with GitLab.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms for data workloads, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with Databricks platform administration.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident triage.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell scripting for automation.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with HVR or similar enterprise data replication tools, infrastructure-as-code, enterprise orchestration platforms such as Autopilot, Databricks Serverless Compute, Workflow orchestration, and relevant cloud or Databricks certifications.
