Responsibilities
- Tackle the team’s largest and most complex technical problems from design through launch.
- Deliver solutions used by other teams and products.
- Define plans for large projects and address complex architecture challenges.
- Lead code reviews, documentation, and complex fixes for high-risk problems.
- Establish standards for thorough and meaningful code reviews.
- Partner across engineering teams on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and transfer technical knowledge across languages.
- Make technical decisions considering customer impact and trade-offs among security, correctness, robustness, performance, space, and time.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in multiple hands-on software or technology leadership roles with end-to-end software development lifecycle responsibility.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in one or more prominent programming languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala, plus experience with at least one additional language.
- Hands-on experience building encryption, key management, or other security-critical systems at scale.
- Strong cloud security expertise and hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing decision-makers across the organization.
- Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
