Base Salary
$165k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate shared OTA and release pipelines across Knightscope device products.
- Partner with Signals firmware engineers to deliver unified OTA updates.
- Establish release SLOs, rollback discipline, and an on-call rotation for fleet releases.
- Partner with DevOps and Platform teams to connect cloud pipelines to on-device delivery.
- Contribute to cross-product release standards through the Center of Engineering Excellence.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in embedded fleet operations or release engineering.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating OTA update systems.
- Strong experience managing device fleets at scale.
- Experience with release automation patterns including canary, staged, and ring-based releases.
- Fluency with infrastructure as code.
- Experience with robotics, security devices, or connected IoT products is preferred.
- Experience standardizing releases across multiple product lines is preferred.
- Experience releasing products in regulated, safety-critical, or security-critical environments is preferred.

- Base salary of $165,000 to $195,000, depending on experience.
