Responsibilities
- Design, build, automate, monitor, and optimize AI/ML infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
- Configure and provision Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, networking, and security services for AI workloads.
- Write, review, and debug code, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code for automation, monitoring, and deployment tooling.
- Support CI/CD and deployment automation using Git, Terraform, Cloud Build, Docker, Kubernetes, and workflow orchestration tools.
- Deploy and operate AI services, model-serving components, and data pipelines with emphasis on reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor compute, storage, networking, container, application, and model-serving health using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
- Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, platform engineers, and architects to integrate AI models into enterprise systems.
- Document reusable infrastructure patterns, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience is required for the project role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related engineering field, with 15 years of full-time education.
- At least 2 years of experience with AI/ML infrastructure, data platforms, model deployment pipelines, or cloud/platform engineering solutions.
- At least 2 years of proficiency in Python, Java, C++, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud Build, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
- Experience with accelerated compute, distributed training, containerized deployments, model serving, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, workflow orchestration, and operational monitoring.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, MLOps patterns, experiment tracking, model registries, deployment, monitoring, rollback, networking, security, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Preferred qualifications include GCP certifications, enterprise AI experience in regulated or industry environments, large language model infrastructure, vector databases, retrieval pipelines, GPU scheduling, model optimization, security controls, FinOps, incident management, and production support.
