Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the core circuit simulation engine.
- Apply numerical methods, mathematical modeling, and software engineering principles to complex simulation problems.
- Analyze and improve algorithms for nonlinear equation solving, convergence, differential equations, sparse matrices, and numerical linear algebra.
- Investigate simulation behavior and identify algorithmic and performance improvements.
- Implement mathematical and engineering concepts as reliable, maintainable, production-quality C++ software.
- Collaborate with simulation experts, software architects, device modeling engineers, and product teams to develop and validate solutions.
- Support circuit simulation technologies for RF, microwave, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed electronic design.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, or a related technical field.
- Academic or project experience in circuit simulation, numerical methods, or computational mathematics.
- Knowledge of circuit simulation, nonlinear equation solving, Newton-Raphson methods, convergence techniques, and differential equation analysis.
- Understanding of sparse matrix algorithms and numerical linear algebra.
- Strong C++ programming skills, preferably with experience contributing to large, maintainable software systems.
- Ability to analyze complex technical or simulation behavior and translate mathematical concepts into reliable software implementations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with EDA software or circuit simulation tools, numerical algorithms, computational mathematics, scientific computing, high-performance software, semiconductor device modeling, software architecture, optimization, large-scale software development, or Python.
- Preferred: knowledge of RF, microwave, analog, mixed-signal, or high-speed circuit design.
