Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated application penetration tests and recommend product hardening measures.
- Participate in development and release processes to identify and report security vulnerabilities.
- Audit product features and APIs and report vulnerabilities to development teams.
- Monitor industry trends in application security.
- Triage inbound vulnerability reports, assign appropriate urgency, and track them through resolution.
- Provide guidance on secure software development for NodeJS, Python, and similar stacks.
- Help scale the application security engineering team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Experience with web application security testing for a reasonably complex application.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of secure software development guidelines from NIST, OWASP, and SANS.
- Hands-on experience performing manual and automated security assessments with open-source or commercial security tools.
- Mobile security experience is a plus.
