Responsibilities
- Develop architecture and designs that meet product requirements.
- Design, implement, and test embedded software using C and C++.
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing activities.
- Develop software for ARM processors using RTOS and bare-metal implementations.
- Implement low-level wired and wireless communication protocols, including USB, RS232, SPI, I2C, CAN, Bluetooth, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
- Implement secure boot and contribute to safety-critical system code design.
- Use JIRA, version control, and code reviews within a controlled software-development workflow.
- Collaborate with product management, end customers, and New Product Development teams.
- Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to test and debug systems.
- Contribute to embedded software development guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and test embedded software solutions.
- Experience with Embedded C, C++, ARM processors, RTOS, and bare-metal implementations.
- Experience with low-level communication protocols such as USB, RS232, SPI, I2C, and CAN.
- Experience with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, or Wi-Fi.
- Experience with industrial controls, including VFD drives.
- Working knowledge of electronic circuits and ability to read schematic diagrams.
- Proficiency with test and debug tools including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Experience with control systems design and implementation, RF communications hardware and software, industrial wired networks, and SIL3 safety-critical system code is preferred or considered a plus.
- Ability to solve problems independently, collaborate effectively, and meet critical deadlines.
