Base Salary

$120k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

Build and ship core product surfaces end to end, primarily on the web and in the CLI.
Design and implement features that make LiveKit intuitive and powerful for developers.
Engage directly with developers and customers to understand use cases and identify product rough edges.
Move features from prototype to production and iterate based on real usage and feedback.
Contribute to technical and product decisions that shape future development.
Write production code in TypeScript and Go across the stack.

6+ years of engineering experience with meaningful experience shipping products end to end.
Strong TypeScript coding skills and fluency with modern web frameworks; Go experience is a plus.
Track record of building user-facing software adopted by developers or technical users.
Strong product sense and ability to balance user experience, trade-offs, value, and implementation.
Ability to frame ambiguous problems and begin shipping effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Genuine interest in agentic AI, voice, and developer platforms.
Experience with developer platforms, SDKs, CLIs, or APIs is a plus.
Experience operating production distributed systems, including Kubernetes-based deployments, analytics or telemetry, and observability, is a plus.
Open source contributions, particularly to infrastructure or developer tools, are a plus.
Background in realtime systems, audio/video, or AI tooling is a plus.
Based in or willing to spend time in the San Francisco Bay Area is a plus.
