Responsibilities
- Build discovery, search, browse, curation, governance, and exploration features across Renaissance products.
- Develop backend services using relational and non-relational datastores, message queuing, cloud infrastructure, and typed contracts.
- Build and test accessible frontend experiences with TypeScript and React.
- Create unit, component, and contract tests alongside traces, metrics, and logs.
- Help adopt the S3 software development model and build multi-agent orchestration systems.
- Work independently, appropriately scope problems and solutions, and collaborate with distributed engineering, product, and design teams.
Requirements
- Professional experience building and shipping production web applications or services.
- Experience developing backend services with relational databases and familiarity with non-relational datastores, message queuing, and/or cloud infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of cloud operations, including deployment, dashboard monitoring, and troubleshooting cloud applications.
- Working knowledge of SQL, including MSSQL or PostgreSQL, and a typed language, ideally TypeScript.
- Interest in developing an AI-first software development lifecycle and encoding engineering understanding into formal constraints for AI workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience leading or mentoring others, AWS experience, and knowledge of DevOps processes and technologies are optional qualifications.
