Responsibilities
- Build complex Ruby on Rails applications.
- Build server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface.
- Build API interfaces and backend infrastructure in collaboration with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams.
- Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems.
- Investigate alternative technologies and present recommendations for architectural review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- 7+ years of experience developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications.
- Strong knowledge of Ruby.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis-based or Memcached caching.
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Open-source project contributions are a plus.
