Responsibilities
- Build and own software integrations for C2 systems across customer environments, from deployment through production reliability.
- Debug distributed systems in the field using logs, network traffic analysis, debuggers, and performance investigation.
- Contribute to core service development, monitoring, reliability solutions, and product improvements.
- Write code daily across the full stack to solve customer-specific integration challenges and improve core services.
- Support continuous operational environments through non-standard hours, on-call response, and rotational coverage.
- Travel domestically and internationally, up to 75% according to the role description, to test sites and customer locations.
- Collaborate with U.S. military and government program offices to translate operational requirements into software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated ability.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Python, C, C++, Golang, or Java.
- Understanding of NAT, DNS/mDNS, UDP/TCP protocols, multicast, and firewall configuration.
- Experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Proven ability to debug complex software systems and systematically trace issues.
- Strong communication skills for working with government and military customers and engineering teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time domestically and internationally, including to remote or restricted-access locations.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance; active clearance is preferred.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, distributed systems, real-time systems, robotics software, deployment automation, customer-facing engineering, technical sales engineering, defense, intelligence, or aerospace software.
