Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data infrastructure for increasing data volume and complexity
- Implement dataset optimization strategies including hard-example mining, class balancing, deduplication, embedding-based filtering, and complexity scoring
- Build infrastructure for dataset ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Develop synthetic data generation workflows for computer vision training data
- Own end-to-end image and video pipelines covering multi-source ingestion, quality assurance, visualization, standardization, and organization
- Coordinate real-world data collection and label creation and quality assurance with labelers
- Develop tooling and feedback loops for balance, drift, annotation error, active-learning sampling, and production-informed curation
- Own dataset versioning, release management, lineage, and metadata cataloging
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or equivalent fields
- Strong understanding of data structures and systems design for orchestrating data workflows
- Proficiency with AWS for data management and processing
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, and Linux
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Ability to communicate effectively across engineering teams and maintain technical documentation
- Experience with image/video data engineering for computer vision projects is preferred
- Experience with PyTorch DeepCore is preferred
- Experience with Unreal Engine is preferred
