Base Salary

$85k - $140k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, document, and decompose customer and stakeholder requirements into detailed technical requirements.
  • Translate requirements into Jira user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support sprint planning and backlog grooming by helping scope, prioritize, and sequence stories.
  • Collaborate with developers to answer requirements and implementation questions and help address blockers.
  • Conduct initial functional testing of application features before QA and customer review.
  • Present completed features and new development to government customers and capture feedback.
  • Partner with UX professionals to incorporate usability and design considerations into requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution, or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to create actionable Jira user stories and epics for development teams.
  • Experience conducting functional or manual testing of application features.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical work to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with software development concepts such as Java or JavaScript frameworks and RESTful microservices.
  • TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Bonus qualifications include familiarity with Amazon Web Services, UX or wireframing tools, and government agency reporting and dissemination policies.
