Base Salary
$75k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software architecture for equipment monitoring and control.
- Evaluate embedded software, firmware, hardware, and system designs.
- Code, debug, and test system software on embedded targets.
- Perform embedded and multi-platform software implementation for real-time systems.
- Contribute to system design, technical reports, presentations, and project leadership communications.
- Debug and isolate hardware issues from a software or user perspective.
- Design and implement real-time operating system functionality and work with low-level processor peripherals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of embedded software development experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 0–3 years with a master’s degree.
- Expertise in embedded systems, multi-core operating systems, kernel or machine-level code, and C or C++.
- Working knowledge of Rust or strong C experience with a desire to learn Rust.
- Knowledge of real-time execution, scheduling, multi-core processing, and RISC-V architecture.
- Familiarity with UART, SPI, DMA controllers, memory controllers, and other low-level peripherals.
- Experience with in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, laboratory test equipment, and embedded troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Python is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; an active Top Secret clearance is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
