Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based automation solutions and frameworks for software upgrades and network deployments.
- Create scripts, APIs, integrations, and workflows that automate operational, engineering, and software delivery activities.
- Assist with AI-enabled workflows, LLM applications, prompt engineering, agentic automation, knowledge retrieval, and decision-support capabilities.
- Analyze operational data and support dashboards, reporting solutions, performance metrics, and troubleshooting improvements.
- Support customer-network software upgrades, deployment activities, root-cause analysis, automated recovery, mitigation, and preventative capabilities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirements gathering, technical documentation, design specifications, user guides, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Recent or expected bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM discipline.
- 0–2 years of professional experience, including internships, co-ops, academic projects, capstone projects, or personal projects.
- Foundational knowledge of software development principles and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with Python through coursework, internships, research, or independent projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience or coursework in Java, JavaScript, REST APIs, Git, code review, unit testing, Ansible, GitHub Actions, SQL, databases, data visualization, reporting tools, operational metrics, prompt engineering, LLM-based applications, machine learning fundamentals, agentic AI, Linux, containers, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, GCP, wireless communications, LTE, 5G, network management, telecom software systems, O&M, configuration, or troubleshooting.
