Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop ROM code, bootloaders, and runtime firmware for secure enclaves of custom ASICs.
- Develop and support firmware for secure boot, attestation, OTA updates, manufacturing provisioning, secure debug, telemetry, recovery, tamper monitoring, and security.
- Define and implement firmware and hardware interfaces with hardware and communications systems engineers.
- Support pre-silicon firmware development, integration, and validation.
- Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and validation of custom ASICs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of firmware development experience.
- Experience developing software in C.
- Experience writing software that directly controls hardware, including firmware, kernel device drivers, or low-level embedded code.
- Experience debugging and validating embedded firmware and hardware/software interactions.
- Preferred: Rust, especially no-std Rust; Cortex-M ISA; ARM TrustZone and TF-M; FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or TockOS; CI flows and automated hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Preferred: familiarity with secure boot, root of trust, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, PKI chains, penetration testing, or similar technologies.
- Preferred: board-level hardware design skills, including reading schematics and data sheets.
- Preferred: firmware testing with QEMU, Palladium, or ZeBu simulation and emulation platforms.
- Preferred: secure manufacturing provisioning and safety-critical software development.
- Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export control regulations.
- A technical assessment is included in the interview process.
