Base Salary

$139k - $233k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lateral and longitudinal vehicle motion control strategies.
  • Design and mature embedded control algorithms that translate driver intent into predictable vehicle behavior.
  • Integrate vehicle dynamic functions across centralized vehicle motion control architectures.
  • Define functions, interfaces, requirements, and third-party component specifications with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Support software integration, electrical hardware and system requirements, functional safety analyses, and safety-critical development.
  • Create subsystem block diagrams, define interfaces, lead design reviews, and support sourcing and device-transmittal reviews.
  • Develop test strategies and execute validation for firmware functionality, robustness, stability, and performance.
  • Support hardware validation, labcar testing, prototype bring-up, and unit, SIL, and HIL test automation.
  • Debug issues across software, hardware, networks, and vehicle-level integration environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional technical ability.
  • At least five years of experience developing embedded control systems for chassis systems, vehicle control modules, vehicle motion control, or similar dynamic control functions.
  • At least five years of experience with electrical hardware applications, prototype bring-up, and systems development.
  • At least five years of experience with vehicle network protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • At least five years of experience with C, Python, Git, Bazel, CANape, and RTOS.
  • At least five years of experience using embedded networking interface tools in automotive, aerospace, or similarly complex embedded environments.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle architecture, diagnostics, network communication, functional safety, and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience creating and executing component-level test procedures and resolving test results through release.
  • Preferred experience with stability control, anti-lock braking, hill hold, park assist, cruise control, adaptive cruise control, vehicle dynamics, control theory, physics-based algorithms, PCB-level hardware, software build tools, hardware bring-up, embedded optimization, and vehicle integration.
  • Preferred familiarity with SIL, HIL, labcar, vehicle validation environments, software architecture, modular design, maintainability, and code quality.
