Responsibilities
- Identify testing risks, clarify acceptance criteria, improve feature testability, and prioritize coverage based on risk, customer impact, and dependencies.
- Review acceptance criteria and design decisions with developers to prevent defects.
- Test APIs, cloud services, web applications, integrations, distributed systems, and end-to-end workflows using automated, exploratory, and targeted manual testing.
- Integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines and maintain reliable test environments, data, and automation tools.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and pipeline failures to assess quality, communicate risks, and reduce flaky tests.
- Investigate production issues, reproduce customer-impacting problems, and validate fixes through regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers to improve observability, logging, security, and production feedback.
- Evolve quality tools and practices, lead complex or broad testing initiatives, share expertise, and support team members.
Requirements
- Significant experience in software quality, test automation, or a similar engineering-focused role.
- Strong programming or scripting skills for developing maintainable test automation and integrating it into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing APIs, web applications, integrations, and distributed systems, with a strong understanding of risk-based testing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to use logs and metrics, identify root causes, assess customer impact, and solve problems with developers.
- Ability to lead initiatives, manage priorities, make informed trade-offs, mentor others, share knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with test automation languages and frameworks such as C#, TypeScript, PowerShell, or Bash is an asset.
- Experience with version control, code reviews, Azure, Kubernetes, MongoDB, continuous delivery, and functional, integration, regression, performance, load, or security testing is an asset.
