Responsibilities
- Work across the complete embedded software lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, verification, configuration, documentation release, change management, and quality-assurance support.
- Define software requirements and contribute to real-time and embedded software design and development.
- Lead and take responsibility for software design and architectural decisions and lead development of specific projects.
- Partner with product and program managers, system engineers, product owners, and validation teams to deliver software products on time.
- Participate in project planning and scope definition and promote innovation across the department.
- Provide occasional national and international travel, typically around three-day trips.
Requirements
- Degree in software, IT, telecommunications, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in real-time and/or embedded software development, software requirements definition, software verification, and low-level development.
- Expertise in C/C++ and/or Ada programming languages.
- More than three years of professional experience.
- Fluent English and Spanish.
- Preferred knowledge of software airworthiness certification processes including DO-178C and EFA standards.
- Preferred awareness of cybersecurity concepts and accreditation processes, including Common Criteria.
- Preferred experience with SysML, UML, GPS, AdaMulti, Eclipse, VectorCast, and AdaTest95.
- Ability to reconcile multiple perspectives across products, projects, and processes.
