Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI and ML solutions across clinical, laboratory, and operational domains.
- Build LLM and SLM solutions through fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and deployment for analytics, product development, and productivity improvements.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end ETL pipelines, BI processes, data models, EDW architecture, reporting, logging, alerting, scheduling, and job control.
- Design software and front-end web applications using object-oriented programming and optimize systems, queries, databases, and BI performance.
- Apply advanced analytics, forecasting, predictive modeling, and simulation to optimize demand planning, blood-product supply, production workflows, and resource allocation.
- Lead operational process improvement and project implementation using process engineering, Lean principles, simulation, and project management practices.
- Mentor BI analysts, communicate analytical results to diverse stakeholders, and provide proactive technical support and troubleshooting.
- Protect donor, patient, research-subject, and employee information in compliance with privacy, security, legal, regulatory, and professional requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field plus four years of experience with applied problems is required.
- Three-plus to five years of hands-on experience designing and developing software across the full lifecycle, AI solutions, and BI solutions, including accountability for complex EDW environments and robust ETL processes, is required.
- Experience developing, evaluating, implementing, and deploying machine learning and artificial intelligence models in partnership with clinical and operational stakeholders.
- Advanced object-oriented software and systems architecture, optimization, performance tuning, and proficiency with Python, Django, Java, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with LLM deployment and AI/ML solution implementation.
- End-to-end BI lifecycle experience, including BI solution design, development, deployment, administration, ETL development, EDW architecture, reporting, and analytics.
- Advanced analytics, forecasting, predictive modeling, and simulation experience, with the ability to communicate results to stakeholders and management.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, SAP BusinessObjects, SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure DevOps Server.
- Experience applying patches and upgrades and monitoring hardware utilization for peak performance.
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to apply Lean principles, conduct Gemba-style observation rounds, prioritize work independently, and maintain reliable, high-quality outputs.
