Responsibilities
- Act as a technical stakeholder for multiple projects and partner with development managers on the technical roadmap.
- Identify and resolve major technical challenges that unblock product opportunities.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and collaborate with developers on complex technical problems.
- Simplify coding patterns, interfaces, and abstractions to make them more approachable.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on code across teams.
- Mentor developers and contribute to a culture of teaching, learning, and continuous feedback.
Requirements
- Experience in software development and building web applications at scale with Ruby on Rails.
- Ability to quickly master new technologies and work effectively in a dynamic environment with distributed teams and customers.
- Demonstrated success mentoring software developers, particularly in Agile processes and large-scale SaaS products.
- Broad technical knowledge for solving complex engineering problems.
- Portfolio of successful projects and lessons learned from unsuccessful projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
- International or global development experience is a plus but not required.
