Base Salary
$100k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement features and fixes for Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoint agents.
- Develop kernel-mode components, Endpoint Security extensions, and Network Extensions at the operating-system boundary.
- Contribute to detection paths and inline enforcement logic for data loss and insider-risk protection.
- Integrate endpoint capabilities with backend and product workflows, including designing new integration points over time.
- Build observability, performance, and stability into always-on production components.
- Review and defend code, including code drafted with AI assistance, and independently verify its correctness.
Requirements
- Production software experience through professional work, internships, coursework, or hands-on personal projects.
- Sound C++ fundamentals, including memory management, concurrency, and performance trade-offs.
- Interest and hands-on exposure to systems programming on Linux, macOS, or Windows, including technologies such as kernel-mode drivers, Windows Filtering Platform, Endpoint Security, Network Extensions, or eBPF.
- Ability to understand existing architecture and make small, sound decisions about interfaces and extensibility.
- Ability to reason about adversarial behavior, untrusted input, evasion, and insider risk.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants while independently verifying and taking responsibility for their output.
- Coachability and evidence of applying feedback to improve design and code quality.
- Preferred experience includes Rust, Swift, systems-level Linux development, cross-platform development, network-layer monitoring, data security, data loss prevention, enterprise software deployment and updates, multi-tenant configuration, or a portfolio demonstrating hands-on systems work.
