Responsibilities
- Contribute to software specifications and architecture with the Software Architect.
- Perform detailed design and coding of software modules.
- Set up and use the software development toolchain.
- Prepare and perform software module tests and verifications.
- Support software and hardware integration with hardware designers.
- Apply configuration management practices according to the product Configuration Management Plan.
- Contribute to process and standards improvements, standardization, and reusable software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams throughout the software design cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience designing software modules for complex embedded systems.
- Experience developing embedded and RTOS applications and following software processes and coding guidelines.
- Knowledge of IoT cloud platforms including AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, and Google Cloud IoT.
- Experience with MQTT, AMQP, HTTP/REST, and TLS.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and exposure to cybersecurity feature development.
- Knowledge of Embedded C and Python.
- Experience with RT Linux and TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with CENELEC SIL4, DO178A, or DO178B standards.
- Experience with European customers is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to collaborate in geographically dispersed teams and learn technologies specific to the railway domain.
