Responsibilities
- Develop, design, enhance, debug, test, and optimize scalable software components and applications.
- Provide Sample Manager LIMS technical support, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and business-as-usual support.
- Coordinate application patching activities with infrastructure teams, including downtime coordination, shutdown, restart, and sanity checks.
- Support instrument integrations, external-system integrations, data migration, and data reconciliation activities.
- Work with LabWare, STARLIMS, Sample Manager, and LabVantage environments and troubleshoot minor migration issues.
- Build parsers and work with data grids for integration-related activities.
- Use Oracle and SQL queries, including joins, to investigate and resolve data and application issues.
- Act as an SME, make team decisions, provide solutions across teams, and coordinate cross-functional software delivery.
- Lead best-practice implementation and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Laboratory Information and Execution Systems.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Proficiency with Laboratory Information and Execution Systems, including relevant LIMS support and configuration experience.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and agile development practices.
- Ability to design and implement scalable software architectures.
- Familiarity with modern programming languages and frameworks used for custom software development.
- Experience debugging, testing, and optimizing software components for performance and reliability.
- Experience with LIMS administration, patching support, instrument integrations, external-system integrations, data migration, and reconciliation.
- Oracle database and SQL query experience, including understanding of joins.
- Strong collaboration skills with business and technical teams, plus experience mentoring or coordinating team members.
