Responsibilities
- Build and operate shared services used across research and production workflows.
- Define and uphold reliability targets through SLIs, SLOs, and healthy on-call practices.
- Maintain operational readiness through runbooks, incident playbooks, and capacity planning.
- Ensure correctness and performance under load, including consistency, tail latency, and failure modes.
- Develop APIs, SDKs, and internal platforms for rapid experimentation and iteration.
- Reduce operational burden through tooling, standardization, and scalable platform patterns.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with experience shipping production-grade systems.
- Experience designing APIs, services, or developer platforms handling large-scale data or compute.
- Ability to navigate complex codebases, debug difficult problems, and optimize for reliability and speed.
- Experience or familiarity with distributed systems, service development, reliability, and performance under load.
- Comfort working across research and infrastructure boundaries in a fast-paced startup environment.
