Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Java/Jakarta EE, JPA/Hibernate, and Maven.
- Design and implement REST APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Build enterprise integrations using SOAP, JMS, and messaging technologies.
- Develop Oracle database functionality, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
- Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Contribute to monitoring, observability, continuous improvement, deployment, testing, and release activities.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA engineers, Technical Leads, and development teams to deliver technical solutions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Java development experience and knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with Java/Jakarta EE, JPA/Hibernate, and Maven-based applications.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, and data persistence concepts.
- Understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Familiarity with source control systems and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile development teams and communicate collaboratively.
- Ability to work across backend and frontend domains in a full-stack capacity.
- Experience with JBoss EAP, WildFly, or other enterprise Java application servers is preferred.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI Generator, REST API design, contract-first development, SOAP/JAX-WS, Apache CXF, messaging platforms, JMS-based solutions, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, Kotest, Ktor, or Docker is preferred.
