Base Salary
$205k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive ambitious research initiatives in computer vision and multimodal understanding.
- Develop novel models and algorithms for image and video understanding, visual search, and multimodal reasoning.
- Translate cutting-edge research into practical model improvements for product development.
- Design, implement, train, and optimize large-scale vision and multimodal foundation models.
- Collaborate with applied scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to transition research to production.
- Set technical direction for high-impact research areas and influence long-term strategy.
- Mentor other scientists and engineers to enhance research quality and build a strong scientific culture.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Deep expertise in computer vision and related areas such as representation learning and multimodal learning.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant industry or research experience with a track record in computer vision or multimodal machine learning.
- Strong experience with state-of-the-art vision and multimodal model architectures.
- Proven ability to formulate research problems and design rigorous experiments.
- Strong coding skills in Python and proficiency in modern deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Strong communication skills for presenting complex research to diverse audiences.
- Curiosity and openness to growth in AI and emerging technologies.
