Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, design, development, and evolution of complex features and subsystems for large-scale services.
- Build secure, highly available services with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and alerting.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, improve reliability and performance, and reduce mean time to resolution.
- Deliver analytics dashboards, onboarding workflows, and other features that improve Selling Partner growth and outcomes.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and senior stakeholders on technical strategies and system roadmaps.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews and technical talks, and act as a technical escalation point.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- At least 3 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: at least 3 years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Preferred: experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
