Responsibilities
- Optimize battery usage across Apple software layers, system services, features, and platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement energy-efficient software features.
- Refine existing APIs and design new APIs with power efficiency in mind.
- Develop tools and frameworks to triage power-related issues.
- Analyze large-scale analytics data to identify battery-life trends and power-consumption hotspots.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of operating systems and software architecture.
- Experience working with many cross-functional teams.
- Ability to independently learn new technologies, prototype, and design software solutions.
- Excellent debugging skills for challenging technical problems.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Mobile application development experience.
- Strong understanding of iOS frameworks and services.
- Strong coding skills, preferably in C, C++, Objective-C, or SwiftUI.
