Base Salary
$100k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize the data platform, focusing on storage-level optimizations across ClickHouse and PostgreSQL.
- Make the product deployable on-premises to support onboarding large enterprise customers.
- Harden Cogent’s security systems.
- Build an agent-first infrastructure and platform layer for developing and shipping products.
- Drive large-scale infrastructure projects end-to-end across multiple stakeholders.
- Operationalize, debug, and triage infrastructure and platform systems.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of software engineering experience with deep core infrastructure expertise and strong hands-on coding skills.
- Hands-on AWS experience.
- Experience with ClickHouse Cloud at the serving layer.
- Deep experience with Spark and micro-batching.
- Track record of driving large-scale projects across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience building in an AI-forward capacity with agentic coding fundamentals.
- Startup or early-stage experience, ideally combined with large-company experience.
- Prior startup founder experience is a bonus.
- API gateway authentication experience with Envoy or Istio is a bonus.
- Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault, MicroVM/Runloop, and SPIFFE/SPIRE for agent identity is a bonus.
