Responsibilities
- Design and build backend products, services, and infrastructure that strengthen Spotify’s technical security Governance, Risk, and Compliance strategy.
- Build scalable infrastructure and tooling to apply regulatory requirements and security framework controls across Spotify’s distributed environment.
- Develop reliable services that automate security and compliance processes and reduce manual work.
- Translate security and compliance requirements into practical technical solutions with security and engineering partners.
- Own software quality from design and development through deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience developing backend software using an object-oriented programming language such as Java and working with data.
- Experience building distributed, high-volume services and deploying and operating them in production.
- Understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms and their application to practical engineering problems.
- Experience implementing security controls or safeguards in software systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity or security Governance, Risk, and Compliance frameworks.
- Interest in information security governance, risk, and compliance, with motivation to deepen knowledge in the area.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners, and explain complex topics to different audiences.
