
Lead Threat Assessment Engineer

Responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling for infrastructure, applications, security architecture, system interactions, and new products or features.
- Correlate threat intelligence, incident-response data, detection telemetry, proprietary security tooling, and internal security and risk signals.
- Analyze endpoint, network, and other security-tool logs to identify coverage gaps and potential control bypasses.
- Translate threat assessments into actionable recommendations for executives, Product Security, Enterprise Security, and Product/Engineering stakeholders.
- Drive security improvements identified from incidents and serve as a subject matter expert during Product team design solutioning.
- Design and orchestrate agentic tooling, organization-specific skills, and human workflows to improve team analysis capabilities.
- Provide applied threat insights in partnership with Threat Intelligence and collaborate with Cyber Security Operations architects and principals on alerting.
- Mentor junior analysts and engineers and help scale team capabilities through automation and security investments.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in threat modeling and security architecture.
- Significant understanding of threat actor tactics and offensive strategies, with strong research, analytical, and data-correlation skills.
- Experience with the Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, MITRE ATT&CK, and STRIDE frameworks.
- Familiarity with application security and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security, cloud architecture fundamentals, and exploitation and abuse threats affecting SaaS and PaaS providers.
- Proficiency analyzing logs from diverse security tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Product or Enterprise Security design-review and security-assurance experience, plus experience automating processes or using AI tooling for workflow and data analysis.
