Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and architecture for the business unit.
- Partner with the general manager and designer on product strategy, roadmap planning, MVP definition, and iterations.
- Write production code across frontend, backend, and systems.
- Recruit and mentor engineers and collaborate with other technical leaders.
- Share tools, patterns, reusable solutions, and learnings across the company.
- Make pragmatic tradeoffs for rapid prototyping and long-term extensibility.
- Solve ambiguous product and technical problems and help shape engineering culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally including full-stack web and system design work.
- Experience owning a product or major feature end-to-end, ideally from 0 to 1.
- Strong product sensibility and ability to design for user outcomes.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and without predefined playbooks.
- Ability to leverage modern AI tools to ship quickly.
- Leadership skills including mentoring, collaboration, and performance management.
- Clear communication, ownership, and a founder-like mindset.
