Responsibilities

Drive the definition and delivery of quarterly and long-term goals.
Influence the design of backend systems across multiple teams.
Collaborate with product, analytics, and design to define solutions.
Ensure high availability and reliability of services through monitoring and recovery practices.
Mentor engineers through code/design reviews and technical leadership.
Author technical proposals and share best practices with the broader community.
Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

4+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed backend systems.
Proficiency in languages like Kotlin, with Python as a plus.
Experience delivering high-volume, highly available systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Ability to define technical strategies for complex, cross-team initiatives.
Skilled at building resilient systems with monitoring and safe deployment practices.
History of mentoring engineers and shaping best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
