Responsibilities
- Identify automation testing strategies and tools to improve testing efficiency.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for business-critical products.
- Create testing scenarios and cases covering database impacts, software scenarios, regression, boundary and negative testing, usability, and performance.
- Participate in automation testing, establish quality metrics, apply industry practices, and develop tools and processes to meet quality goals.
- Drive continuous integration and deployment strategies using a DevOps philosophy and tools such as GitHub.
- Apply requirements management, security controls, software development standards, and testing practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with application architects, developers, QA/testers, business partners, product owners, offshore vendors, and distributed teams.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience building and maintaining .NET test automation frameworks using tools such as xUnit, NUnit, Moq, or Parasoft, or related Ruby or Groovy testing frameworks.
- Strong programming background and knowledge of test automation frameworks and open-source test automation tools.
- Experience with Selenium for web-based automation testing.
- Experience testing web services with REST/SOAP tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Parasoft.
- Experience with performance testing, Agile work environments, BDD, and TDD.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Experience working with geographically distributed resources and offshore vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with alternative investments and current working experience with Schwab systems and processes.
- Preferred experience with GitHub CI/CD, MS SQL, and scheduling tools such as Control-M; financial services experience is a plus.
