Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain cloud-native software applications and supporting cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms.
- Design and optimize secure cloud architectures, application security controls, and deployment solutions for mission-critical applications.
- Build, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, containerized deployment environments, software build environments, automated testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with software, systems, operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure engineers across the software development lifecycle.
- Support software integration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and sustainment activities.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum planning, sprint execution, backlog refinement, and software release planning.
- Maintain project status, technical documentation, issue tracking, configuration management, change control, risk management, software quality, and secure development practices.
- Communicate technical concepts, project status, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify improvements to software quality, team processes, automation, and engineering efficiency while providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience delivering production-quality software across the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with AWS EKS/Kubernetes, automated container deployments, Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tools, Vault/AWS Secrets Manager or alternatives, AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Experience developing scalable, maintainable, and well-tested software and using source control, issue tracking, and collaborative development tools.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Ability to communicate clearly, build relationships across teams, analyze problems critically, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and share knowledge.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation, cloud networking, DevSecOps principles, secure software development, application security, vulnerability assessment, and secure coding practices is preferred.
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist certification, AWS Solutions Architect certification, familiarity with Fortify or SonarQube, and familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting are preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active/current Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
