Responsibilities
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant distributed file systems.
- Define system architecture for high availability and performance.
- Drive design decisions across storage, networking, and compute layers.
- Engage deeply with Linux kernel and filesystem internals.
- Optimize performance across various system layers.
- Design and implement replication and consensus protocols.
- Analyze and improve system performance metrics.
- Conduct benchmarking and capacity planning.
- Build systems for fault detection and recovery.
- Implement observability through metrics, tracing, and logging.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering.
- Strong expertise in Linux kernel internals and filesystems.
- Deep understanding of memory management and networking protocols.
- Proficient in debugging tools and system profiling.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to lead without authority.
- Excellent communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
