Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to a team of backend engineers.
- Make architectural contributions to backend services for workload-security products.
- Build systems that collect and process telemetry at scale from customer environments.
- Develop scalable mechanisms for reacting to environmental changes and rendering policies to many enforcement points.
- Implement low-latency API endpoints that process large volumes of data.
- Design software for complex distributed environments with unique failure modes.
- Architect, design, analyze, and brainstorm solutions that improve products and deliver customer-facing capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of experience building software systems in one or more languages such as Go, C++, or Java.
- Technical leadership experience in a software engineering environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree with 11+ years of related experience, master's degree with 9+ years, PhD with 4+ years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in algorithms, systems, databases, performance engineering, and security architecture.
- Experience with schema and data modeling, large-scale event processing architectures, systems programming, and performance engineering.
- Experience with security architecture and database design.
- Kubernetes experience.
- Experience programming with cloud APIs for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
