Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed open-source message broker systems and large-scale solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers and RabbitMQ and Apache ActiveMQ project maintainers to shape strategy and roadmap.
  • Drive system architecture and engineering best practices for a high-quality product.
  • Support end-to-end delivery of external and internal roadmaps and customer support.
  • Coach and develop junior engineers.
  • Engage with open-source communities to improve mission-critical software.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
