Base Salary
$130k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend systems for payments processing, transaction logic, real-time ledgering, and Column’s core banking platform.
- Own integrations with the Federal Reserve and real-time payment networks, ensuring correctness and reliability.
- Design and implement APIs, services, and data pipelines used by internal teams and external developers.
- Improve resiliency, scalability, and observability across the distributed architecture.
- Lead platform initiatives involving authentication and authorization, event streaming, and change data capture.
- Develop highly correct, performant, fault-tolerant code for a regulated, compliance-sensitive environment.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience is sought for a lean team environment.
- Ability to work with distributed systems, financial infrastructure, and clean API design.
- Ability to own core backend systems and technical foundations in a mission-critical environment.
