Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale security solutions for cloud and infrastructure environments.
- Develop secure production code, implement complex business logic, and review and debug code written by others.
- Automate security, deployment, and integration tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and other scripting languages.
- Deploy commercial software at scale and support infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and related automation.
- Reduce vulnerabilities by evolving security protocols, assessing control effectiveness, and incorporating industry insights and government regulations.
- Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to understand security needs and recommend changes.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Experience with cloud engineering, deployment engineering, DevOps engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience deploying commercial software at scale in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, design, and implement enterprise-level security solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems internals.
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
- Commanding knowledge of a programming or scripting language for automation and integration tasks.
- Proficiency across the software development life cycle and advanced understanding of application resiliency and security practices.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, including AWS security.
- Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities.
- Cloud computing certifications with an AWS focus, such as Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, are strongly preferred.
- Experience communicating effectively with senior business leaders is preferred.
